What Is The Index?
This index utilizes advanced data science techniques and proprietary algorithms to rank stocks on a scale from 0 to 100. This site provides the most up-to-date index as well as an archive of past indexes so that you can go back and see how the ratings compare with their actual performance. Why Was It Made? This index was developed as a way to simplify the market for new investors, and also as an experiment to test these new techniques. The current algorithm is still being tested, updated, and improved. Who Made It? The software that produces this index was designed and and implemented by Ryan Knightly. While I maintain this project as a private repository, you can still view my other work on my GitHub page. How Does It Work? This index works by searching through a list of thousands of stocks on both the NYSE and the NASDAQ. Each stock is then given a score from 0 to 100 based on several data points relating to the stock. They are then sorted from highest to lowest score. Detail beyond this level of specificity would not be in the interest of this site to distribute publicly. Disclaimer Of course, I provide this list so that you can have a starting place in your research. With that, I am not responsible for the investments you make, which are ultimately your own decision. Stock market investing has an inherent risk associated with it, and an investment decision should only be made if you believe it is the best decision to make with your money. Enjoy! |
